RN - Outpatient Hematology Oncology Specialist

As a skilled RN - Outpatient Hematology Oncology, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role requires a strong foundation in hematology and oncology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
Collects pertinent assessment data, including present condition, past history, physical, spiritual, and psychosocial information, utilizing input from patients, significant others, and/or healthcare team members as applicable.
Interprets data to identify patient needs and potential problems, developing, reviewing, and revising individualized care plans within the time frame identified in documentation standards.
Establishes expected outcomes that are measurable and achievable, evaluating patient responses to care and initiating independent and/or collaborative changes where appropriate.
Documents changes in condition and interventions, utilizing the nursing process to incorporate teaching into delivery of patient care and documenting teaching and learning.
Prepares for discharge/transfer, beginning with admission and continuing throughout hospitalization, documenting the discharge/transfer process.
Delivers patient care based on pathophysiology and nursing principles, performing technical skills with accuracy and efficiency, and establishing and adjusting priorities based on patient acuity and changing clinical situations.
Recognizes the patient's age as a relevant factor and applies appropriate decision-making skills in the assessment, treatment, and care provided for the patient.
Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers, advocating for patients and utilizing resources effectively, participating in interdisciplinary rounds.
Requirements
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration (for SCI Medical Oncology, SCI Hematology-Oncology, and Ballard Satellite; for SCI Edmonds Medical Oncology excluding radiation oncology) within 90 days of hire.
1 year Oncology Nursing experience.
