The COMET contract encompasses the comprehensive management and execution of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at a prominent space center. These initiatives support various programs, including the International Space Station (ISS) and the Space Launch System (SLS).

As a Communication Integration Manager, you will be tasked with coordinating and integrating projects and contractor services to fulfill operational requirements. Your role will involve developing and executing plans to achieve milestones, assessing operational support and system needs, and evaluating outcomes for ongoing enhancement. This position supports critical programs without direct personnel management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Your areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

· Serving as the operational leader for Communication Integration Manager functions, leveraging expertise acquired through experience, whether or not you possess a degree, which may involve designing and developing plans, processes, procedures, and data requirements analysis.

· Collaborating with the NASA Communication IT contractor to conduct essential checks on communication systems prior to significant processing operations.

· Ensuring that processing schedules accurately reflect and integrate necessary contractor support.

· Engaging with management to ensure effective planning, prioritization, and support for processing activities.

· Participating in daily scheduling meetings.

· Undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.

· Capability to perform walkdowns in various processing facilities.

· Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident status is required if offered a position.

Physical Requirements

· May require climbing stairs to access equipment for troubleshooting.

· May necessitate the use of personal protective equipment.

· Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.

· Physical requirements include walking, standing, and extensive use of stairs.

· Must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in emergencies.

Work Environment

· May involve working both indoors and outdoors across the test complex.

· Daily travel to different areas on site may be required.

· Walking on uneven terrain may be necessary to access various locations.
