The Advanced Psychiatric Care Nurse Practitioner at Polara Health Clinic plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive psychiatric services within the facility. This position involves managing a varied patient caseload that includes adults, children/adolescents, and individuals dealing with substance use disorders. In addition to direct patient care, the Nurse Practitioner will serve as a key link between the clinic and external healthcare providers, contributing to program enhancement and quality assurance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and oversee medication management for diverse patient demographics.
- Lead and supervise non-clinical personnel in delivering patient care.
- Ensure meticulous maintenance of clinical and administrative documentation.
- Engage in quality improvement efforts and assist in program development.
- Collaborate with medical professionals on intricate cases.
- Participate in regular team meetings with clinic personnel.
- Comply with clinic protocols and procedures.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
- Graduation from an Accredited Nursing Program.
- Valid Arizona Nursing License with Psychiatric/Mental Health specialization.
- Possession of a DEA certificate.
This role may involve various physical, mental, and visual demands. The position requires mobility, the capacity to lift weights, and the ability to respond effectively in crisis situations.
