Refrigeration Systems Specialist

As a Refrigeration Start-up Technician, you will be responsible for the start-up of supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment. You will also assist with Energy Optimization (EO) projects, which may include retro-commissioning of supermarkets for system performance or utility programs, EMS upgrades, leak detection upgrades, and gas conversion projects.
- Perform Evacuations and Pressure Tests: You will perform evacuations of parallel racks after verifying pressure tests.
- EMS Wiring and Programming: You will perform all EMS wiring and programming for all manufacturers of EMS systems.
- System Start-up: You will perform full start-up of new parallel refrigeration systems and individual systems.
- Lead Small Projects: You will lead small projects such as single case and condenser changeouts.
- Assist with EO Projects: You will assist with EO projects, which may include retro-commissioning of supermarkets for system performance or utility programs, EMS upgrades, leak detection upgrades, and gas conversion projects.
- High School Diploma or GED: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Coursework at an Accredited Vocational-Technical or Trade School: You must have completed coursework at an accredited vocational-technical or trade school.
- 3+ Years of Supermarket EMS Systems Experience: You must have at least 3 years of experience in supermarket EMS systems.
- EMS Certification Preferred: EMS certification is preferred but not required.
- 5+ Years of Commercial Refrigeration Experience: You must have at least 5 years of experience in commercial refrigeration, with a focus on parallel rack systems.
- EPA I and II Certification Required: You must have EPA I and II certification.
- Valid Driver's License Required: You must have a valid driver's license at all times.
