About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Estimator to join our team at RightWorks Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for heavy civil projects, particularly roads and bridges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate statistical data: Quantity take-offs, material prices, labor costs, and equipment.
  • Research historical data for estimating guidelines.
  • Contribute to project update and bid package documents.
  • Maintain working document files.
  • Monitor conceptual estimates with actual cost data.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Mandatory knowledge of construction materials and the ability to recognize material designations (e.g., W section and HP section).
  • General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and effective teamwork capabilities.
  • Proficiency in performing mathematical extensions and interpreting engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems.
  • Proficiency in using Bluebeam and MS Excel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Consistent, dependable, diligent, and thorough work ethic.
  • Adept at problem-solving and finding solutions.
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
