About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Residential Services Department as a Direct Support Professional - Awake Overnight. In this position, you will provide management of the night operations of the residences and supervision of the individuals during the night period. Light housekeeping duties apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the supervision of assigned individuals at all times
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the residence, including food preparation duties
- Promote and support person-driven choices in independence, individualization, inclusion, and productivity
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with the individuals we support, working collaboratively with the team to help determine and achieve valued outcomes
Requirements:
- Valid NY driver's license
- A good driving record
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passion for supporting individuals with disabilities
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to attend orientation schedule
- Ability to remain awake from 10pm-9am
