Position Overview

Join the innovative environment at Adamson Analytical Laboratories, a part of Tentamus North America, where we are seeking a dedicated Microbiology Laboratory Technician.

Your Role:

  • Collaborate with the microbiology supervisor to prioritize sample processing, which includes:
    • Preparation of media
    • Weighing, plating, and counting samples
    • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation within the Microbiology Laboratory
    • Documenting procedures and results in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
    • Conducting basic setup, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
    • Performing regular checks on instruments such as balances, refrigerators, and incubators
    • Receiving and logging reagents along with their certificates of analysis and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
    • Compiling reports and analyzing data using Excel, laboratory software, and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
    • Handling and disposing of hazardous laboratory waste appropriately
  • Assist in managing inventory and restocking essential laboratory supplies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance laboratory efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Participate in projects to adapt to evolving laboratory requirements.
  • Contribute to the overall organization and cleanliness of the laboratory.
  • Perform end-of-day cleaning and waste disposal tasks.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including occasional weekend and holiday hours. Overtime eligibility is available.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have authorization to work in the United States without restrictions, possess at least a high school diploma (an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology is preferred), and/or relevant experience in a laboratory setting. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Experience in a laboratory environment, particularly in microbiology.
  • Familiarity with laboratory terminology, biological concepts, and common laboratory techniques.
  • Proficiency in LIMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
