Clinical Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Brown University Health. As a key member of our Medical Engineering department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective operation of medical devices and systems across our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop processes for evaluating state-of-the-art capital equipment
- Coordinate the selection, acquisition, and installation of new patient care technology systems
- Interact with vendors, regulatory agencies, and personnel to provide consultation on performance, technical specifications, clinical applications, and evolving compatibility and safety of medical devices and systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a healthcare environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong knowledge of medical device systems and technologies used in healthcare environments
- Excellent communication and team-building skills with leadership qualities
