About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Equipment Repair Specialist to join our team at Remote Mechanic Jobs. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing small engines used in outdoor power equipment, such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, and snow blowers.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in small engine mechanics and experience working with mobile equipment. You will diagnose mechanical issues, perform routine maintenance, and repair or replace faulty components. Excellent communication skills are essential to provide clear explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in small engine-powered equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburettor cleanings
  • Repair or replace faulty components such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Provide clear explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations to customers
  • Document service work performed and ensure accurate records are kept for each job

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience working with small engines and mobile equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot engine issues
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
