Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced APRN to join our team in the Oncology Long-Term Follow-Up Clinic. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to patients with breast cancer.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, in collaboration with the attending physician.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient preferences and needs.
  • Conduct thorough medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order diagnostic tests as necessary.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments, as authorized by state law and hospital regulations.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide patient education and support, including counseling on treatment options, side effects, and follow-up care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Active certification as a PA or NP, with a focus on oncology.
  • Current licensure as a PA or NP in the state of Connecticut.
  • Experience working in an oncology setting, preferably in long-term follow-up care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
