About the Role

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team in Bronx, New York.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in crisis and de-escalation interventions, therapeutic observations, and patient supervision.
  • Implement seclusion/restraints for patients in need of these interventions.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment for patients.
  • Assist with dietary aspects of care, answer phones, transport patients, and provide support to visitors.
Requirements
  • A High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Two years of full-time experience in nursing or psychiatric/behavioral health care in a high volume, intensive care environment.
  • Certified to perform vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and blood glucose monitoring.
  • Successful completion of an appropriate training program in the application and use of restraints and seclusion.
  • BLS certification.
