West Liberty University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Guest Theater Director to lead the production of 'It's a Wonderful Life.' This is a seasonal, temporary position that offers a unique opportunity for a talented individual to work with students and contribute to the university's theater department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management: Direct and coordinate at least one major production, ensuring a high-quality theatrical experience for students and audiences.
- Student Instruction and Workshops: Provide expert guidance and instruction to students in various aspects of theatrical production, fostering their growth and development.
- Recruitment and Community Engagement: Recruit students to join the theater department, promoting the program and its benefits to the university community.
- Communication and Collaboration: Hold regular meetings, auditions, and rehearsals, cast the production, and communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration regarding schedules, rehearsals, and facility use.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the university, contributing to the overall success of the theater department.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 years of previous experience in professional and/or actual involvement in theatrical productions.
