Job Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring the quality and overall management of procured products and services at Lockheed Martin facilities. The selected candidate will lead the Supplier Quality Engineering team and be the primary point of contact for delivery of supplied products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure suppliers adhere to requirements and drive corrective/preventative actions for non-conforming product, processes, and procedures.
  • Support multiple programs, significant volumes of procured products, and deliver to Lockheed Martin facilities.
  • Travel to La Mesa, Mexico, and visit supplier sites to ensure early engagement and inspections are completed.
  • Collaborate with the Land & Maritime Solutions SQE team and coordinate weekly with key members.
  • Provide support and QA inspection to San Diego Receiving and participate in La Mesa Operations leadership team meetings.
  • Solve complex challenges involving nonconforming product and possible internal triggers.
  • Document NC descriptions, RCCAs, and recommend a path forward on internal technical issues.
  • Monitor defect trends and perform root cause analysis.
  • Interface with Operations Program Managers, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Quality, Supply Chain Management, and other functions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (technical) from an accredited college with 5 years of professional experience or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Complex data analysis skills with proven collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience within the Engineering or Quality field.

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills managing both technical and team aspects with cross-team collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Green Belt Certification.
  • Experience successfully operating as part of a multi-site team.

This position requires a government security clearance, and the selected candidate must be a US Citizen for consideration.
