Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
Full-time Float across 2 Specialty Units (including Med Surg)

  • Deliver a range of routine tasks and direct patient care to support our patients and clinical teams.
  • Respond to call lights and unit inquiries to assist patients and their families.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate essential patient information.
  • Aid in the admission, transfer, transport, lifting, and discharge processes for patients.
  • Conduct rounds and promptly address requests from patients, families, and clinical staff.
  • Collaborate effectively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • Contribute to the organization, cleanliness, and safety of the unit and patient rooms.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with skills demonstration

Minimum Experience:
One (1) year of nursing experience

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Understanding of nursing principles and practices for patient care
  • Critical Thinking Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic Computer Proficiency, familiar with Windows-based software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an acute care setting
