Responsibilities

The Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer will perform all ordered lower extremity vascular exams and assist the physician or provider with phlebology procedures. You'll work as an active member of the healthcare team, providing safe, effective, and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing patient evaluation and assessment prior to ultrasound examination
  • Completing all appropriate reports following each patient interaction, following UVVC written ultrasound protocols
  • Performing ordered duplex ultrasound examination and other imaging studies
  • Submitting diagnostic findings that accurately reflect each patient's disease process
  • Maintaining equipment and image storage
  • Assisting with management of supply inventory
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • RVT, RVS, or RPhS certification or eligibility to sit for vascular credential
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (AHA)
  • Minimum 1 year experience performing vascular ultrasound scans preferred
  • Prior experience with phlebology scans and assisting procedures preferred
