The ICU at Research Medical Center is a fast-paced, dynamic environment where nurses work quickly, efficiently, independently, and meticulously to treat critically ill patients. Our ICU nurses are highly skilled and knowledgeable, using their expertise to provide interventions that sustain life. We are proud to have a cohesive team of top-notch nurses, educators, mentors, and physicians who work together to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the ICU, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, as well as implementing courses of action to ensure a competitively better organization.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
  • Registered Nurse Diploma.
  • Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
