Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and support adjunct instructors within the teaching field.
  • Manage program advisory boards and engage with industry partners to ensure program relevance and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations to provide work-based learning opportunities and job placement services for students.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of program marketing strategies to attract students and promote the program's reputation.
  • Collaborate with college administrators and faculty to ensure program alignment with college goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and 5 years of non-teaching work experience as a truck driver.
  • Current Class A CDL and knowledge of DMV/DOT regulations.
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and work independently.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Experience providing technical education in a classroom or small group setting.
  • Curriculum development experience and knowledge of industry issues and practices.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position that requires flexibility to teach day, evening, weekend, and online classes. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be able to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and industry partners.
