We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Academic Support Specialist to join our team at the University of Georgia. The successful candidate will provide individualized support to student-athletes in the areas of time management, organization, note-taking, studying, and test-taking strategies, all within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a supportive environment that is positive and focused on assisting student-athletes with achieving their academic objectives within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
- File reports on sessions and follow all departmental policies.
- Attend mandatory trainings.
- Communicate regularly and in a timely manner with Academic Counselors and Support Staff.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, and other university staff. A bachelor's degree in a related field and experience working with student-athletes are preferred.
