Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring effective management and execution.
  • Conduct comprehensive engineering assignments, utilizing advanced engineering techniques and analysis while collaborating with various disciplines to achieve project goals.
  • Participate in shop and field testing of switchgear and motor control center equipment.
  • Direct and coordinate electrical engineering efforts for significant industrial projects across midstream gas processing, petroleum refining, petrochemical, and upstream oil & gas industries.
  • Apply design expertise in medium and low voltage power distribution, grounding, lighting, motor control, and variable frequency drives.
  • Perform power studies including load flow, short circuit, relay coordination, motor starting, and arc flash to establish requirements for distribution facilities in industrial settings.
  • Engage with all engineering disciplines, project managers, major equipment suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review and approve Electrical Design deliverables to ensure they meet the standards for design and construction.
  • Develop scopes of work, detail design milestones, staffing schedules, and engineering man-hour estimates.
  • Notify supervision and project management promptly regarding any issues affecting scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Collaborate with the client's electrical representative to ensure effective communication and coordination for project deliverables.

Qualifications:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering is required, with a preference for candidates possessing 5+ years of relevant experience. EIT licensure is mandatory; P.E. by exam is preferred. Experience in specifying LV and MV transformers, switchgear, motor controls, and variable frequency drives is essential. Proficiency in analyzing industrial power systems using SKM tools or equivalent modeling software is required. Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and API standards, particularly those relevant to electrical installations in hazardous locations, is necessary.
