Our mission is to deliver diverse and nutritious food choices to our campus community, including students, faculty, and staff. We invite you to become a part of our team as a Catering Support Specialist.

Under the guidance of the Catering Services Operations Assistant or an Event Supervisor, the Catering Support Specialist will be responsible for assisting with catered events both on and off campus.

This role includes providing service in accordance with event specifications, aiding in food preparation, bartending, and adhering to setup and sanitation protocols.

Essential Qualifications:

*High school diploma or GED is required.
*Physical ability to bend, stoop, stretch, reach, push, and pull.
*Capability to lift food supplies and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds consistently.
*Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, up to 4 hours at a time.
*Manual dexterity for proficient use of small tools and good hand-eye coordination.
*Willingness to work in environments with wet floors, temperature variations, and elevated noise levels.
*Capacity for fast-paced mobility.
*Ability to visually distinguish colors for food safety purposes.
*Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
*Attentive listening skills for interaction with customers, supervisors, and colleagues.
*Availability to work evenings and weekends.
*Flexibility to adjust schedule for food service events.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not all candidates may meet every preferred qualification, the ideal applicant will possess many of the following attributes:

*ServSafe certification.
*Experience in fine dining or catering environments.
*Valid driver's license with a clean driving record as per University standards.
*Ability to operate catering transport vehicles.
*Proven experience in customer service.
*Experience working with a diverse student body and multicultural staff.
