Lead Behavior Technician

Job Overview

SPECIAL EXPLORERS CENTER is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Behavior Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of daily plans, training staff, and maintaining a clean and professional facility appearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the daily plan execution and ensure efficient operations
  • Train staff and communicate policies and procedures
  • Manage facility appearance and maintain a clean environment
  • Assist with employee break and meal period schedules
  • Relieve employees for breaks and meal periods
  • Report non-compliance issues to Site Manager, Case Managers, or Clinical Director
  • Manage daily call-out log for consumers and employees
  • Audit and report missing information and discrepancies with consumer time-sheets
  • Maintain security procedures and adhere to HIPAA obligations
  • Assist with managing consumer records and binders
  • Provide administrative support to HR and Operations
  • Communicate and coach staff to ensure protocols and training are followed
  • Open or close the facility
  • Inventory food supply (for locations with no cook)
  • Complete other duties as assigned

  • Reliability and consistency
  • Ability to learn and problem-solve well
  • Practically perfect organizational skills
  • RBT certification preferred
  • CPR Certified preferred
  • Ability to maintain security of sensitive information
  • Flexibility to cross-train and work in any hourly position
  • Ability to multitask with exceptional organizational skills
  • Effective communication and leadership skills

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to deal with high stress
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit up to 10 hours
  • Ability to bend or twist repetitively

Reports to: Site Supervisor

Supervisory duties: Will act as a coach, but will not give disciplinary action
