About the Role

The Custodian is a key member of our facilities team at SBM Management Services, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our premises. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team in this critical role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform janitorial duties, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash and recyclables, and restocking supplies.
  • Operate motorized cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
  • Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas, including restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
  • Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
  • Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
  • Perform repetitive tasks, such as cleaning and sanitizing high-touch areas.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
  • Take direction and respond to supervision.
  • Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • May be required to have a valid driver's license.
  • Completed all safety and task training certification.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with team.
  • Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment.
  • Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe and efficient use.
  • No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation and Benefits

$15.85 - $16.00 per hour.

Work Schedule

Monday - Thursday, 5:00PM - 1:30AM & Sundays, 5:00AM - 1:30PM.
