Housekeeper Job Description

Colwen Hotels is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at the AC Hotel Cleveland Circle. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality in our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and prioritize room assignments from the manager
  • Clean, stock, and maintain assigned guest rooms according to Colwen and brand standards
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate effectively with other departments
  • Check and restock cleaning supplies, transport carts to assigned floors/rooms
  • Ensure guest privacy and knock before entering rooms
  • Check amenities and supplies, restock according to standards
  • Make beds, stock bath linens, and clean/disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and coffee stations
  • Remove trash, dirty linens, and room service items
  • Check appliances, straighten desk areas, and dust/polish furniture
  • Notify maintenance of needed repairs and ensure rooms meet hotel standards
  • Ensure soiled linens are laundered and take found items to the lost and found
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a cleaner or housekeeper, hotel experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented and thorough, with a commitment to maintaining high standards
  • Ability to work quickly without compromising quality, with excellent prioritization and time management skills
  • Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant and friendly way, with a willingness to work rotational 7-day work cycles
