About the Job

Invenergy is a leading developer and operator of renewable energy projects. We are seeking a skilled Wind Technician to join our team at the Number Three Wind Energy Center in Lowville, NY.

Job Summary

The Wind Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining the wind turbines at the Number Three Energy Center. This includes performing routine mechanical and electrical maintenance, climbing wind turbine towers to inspect and repair equipment, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on wind turbines and associated equipment
  • Climb wind turbine towers to inspect and repair equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Work a 40 hour work week with scheduled and unscheduled overtime
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • One year technical experience and/or technical education
  • Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and climb ladders without assistance
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship
