We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist PRN to join our team at MountainView Hospital. As a Medical Technologist PRN, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results, while providing exceptional patient care and service.
Key Responsibilities- Perform clinical testing in one or more areas of the laboratory, including blood bank, chemistry, serology, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, special chemistry, microbiology, and manual tests.
- Obtain or receive specimens, perform laboratory tests according to written procedures, and evaluate quality control on a daily basis.
- Interpret results as to their accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits, and organize work to meet established deadlines.
- Provide instruction to MT and TLT students, and work cooperatively with nursing and other hospital staff to ensure timely patient care.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college, or equivalent experience and training.
- Current State license (within six months of hire date) or provisional license per State regulations as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
- Generalist experience in all areas of the laboratory is preferred.
