Position Overview:

Tact Staff is in search of a travel nurse RN specializing in Special Procedures for an exciting opportunity.

Shift: 12 hours
Employment Type: Travel

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the nursing process to deliver direct patient care.
  • Accountable for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating care for assigned patients.
  • Diagnose and manage health responses through services such as case finding and health counseling.
  • Supervise care provided by licensed practical nurses, registered nurses on permit, and other support staff.

Assess and address the immediate and ongoing care needs of patients and their significant others. Develop comprehensive care plans that encompass physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. Provide direct patient care based on thorough assessments and medical guidelines.

Ensure all aspects of patient care are met and supervise nursing personnel as per the defined scope of practice. Document and communicate patient responses to illness and treatment effectively.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to prioritize care and ensure timely interventions. Integrate age-specific care needs into the overall plan of care.

Take responsibility for nursing interventions and outcomes based on clinical judgment. Engage in quality improvement activities related to patient care and nursing standards.

Participate in the orientation of new nursing staff and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff. Act as a clinical resource for student nurses and contribute to research initiatives supported by the Nursing Department.

Commit to ongoing professional development through participation in educational programs and pursuit of advanced degrees and certifications.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.
  • Proficient in utilizing electronic medical record systems and relevant healthcare technologies.

Tact Medical Staffing offers competitive pay packages based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with tax-free stipends to be determined.
