Tact Staff is in search of a travel nurse RN specializing in Special Procedures. This role is based in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the nursing process to deliver direct patient care.
- Be accountable for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating care for assigned patients.
- Diagnose and manage health responses through case finding, health education, counseling, and restorative care.
- Supervise care provided by licensed practical nurses (LPNs), registered nurses on permit (RNP), and other support staff.
Assess the ongoing care needs of patients and their significant others. Develop comprehensive care plans that address physical, educational, and psychosocial needs. Provide direct patient care aligned with assessed needs and medical guidelines.
Oversee and ensure the delivery of all aspects of patient care. Document and communicate patient responses to illness and treatment to the healthcare team.
Coordinate the overall care plan to ensure nursing interventions align with medical directives. Establish care priorities in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring timely patient care delivery.
Integrate age-specific care needs into the plan of care. Accept responsibility for nursing interventions and outcomes based on clinical judgment. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to patient care and nursing standards.
Engage in the orientation of new nursing staff and ensure adequate patient coverage by assisting colleagues and working in various units as needed. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Act as a clinical resource for student nurses and engage in research and pilot projects supported by the Nursing Department. Demonstrate commitment to professional growth through participation in educational programs and pursuit of advanced nursing degrees and certifications.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.
- Proficient in utilizing electronic medical record systems and relevant healthcare technology.
