Job Overview

Position Title: Wastewater Operations Specialist
Classification: Non-Exempt
Department: Environmental, Health & Safety
Reports to: EHS Supervisor

Objective:
To effectively manage and oversee all aspects of wastewater operations, including the external systems and treatment facilities. This role involves monitoring various systems such as UFOs, EP Water Softeners, and Cooling Towers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain the Wastewater Treatment Facility and associated external systems.
  • Ensure proper handling and maintenance of chemicals used in processes.
  • Monitor compliance with water quality standards from UFOs, EP Wastewater Discharge, and Cooling Towers.
  • Gather and analyze data on system performance and conduct specific inspections.
  • Investigate issues to identify root causes of failures.
  • Carry out periodic replacements and repairs as necessary.
  • Communicate findings to the Engineering department when required.
  • Provide comprehensive handovers to incoming shifts.
  • Assist in maintaining departmental inventory for effective repairs.
  • Adhere to safe working practices and promote a culture of safety.
  • Organize and maintain workspaces to uphold 5S principles.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Wastewater department.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
