Advanced Practice Family Nurse

Type: Permanent/Direct Hire with Benefits
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Patient Demographics:
Serving individuals of all ages with disabilities.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Director of Health & Health-related Services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement primary care protocols and procedures.
2. Work independently and collaboratively to diagnose and manage health care issues.
3. Provide professional supervision and guidance to nursing staff, including training on job responsibilities.
4. Oversee appointment scheduling and general office practices, including medical record management and billing.
5. Manage supplies for the primary care unit and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
6. Monitor productivity and office expenses.
7. Implement first aid and emergency procedures as needed.
8. Participate in agency committees to provide professional guidance and support.
9. Act as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.
10. Offer in-service education on medical care topics as required.
Qualifications:
Must possess New York State Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Family Health. Ability to work effectively with both adults and children, with knowledge and skills consistent with general medical practice. Familiarity with Primary Care Office Management and procedures, along with certification in First Aid and/or emergency procedures.
