We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bilingual (English/Spanish) Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to provide culturally competent mental health services to Spanish-speaking clientele in Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities

">
  • Provide one-on-one skill-building sessions using evidence-based practices and curriculum to achieve treatment goals.
  • Offer support and crisis/emergency services through face-to-face, phone, or on-call contact.
  • Maintain comprehensive client records and write detailed progress notes to track client progress.
  • Establish rapport with clients, families, and support systems and provide emotional support and encourage family involvement.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records and assist with data review as needed.
  • Keep families and team members informed about treatment progress and goal achievement.
  • Assist clients with developing independent living skills, including behavior management, budgeting, transportation, time management, and communication.
  • Build strong relationships with community partners to address client needs.
  • Teach clients effective communication, problem-solving, and anger management techniques.
  • Attend required staff meetings, company programs, and professional development training.

Qualifications

">
  • Masters degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a QMHP in the state of Texas.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (both verbal and written).
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnosis skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, preferably with the Hispanic community.
  • Passion for providing culturally competent mental health services.
