Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Technician I-3rd Shift Pharma to join our team at Clean Earth. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for consolidating, treating, storing, packing, transporting, and disposing of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible and cost-effective practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Segregate and package materials for transport, completing required paperwork in accordance with regulations and customer policies.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials, adhering to regulations and policies.
  • Operate fork trucks and heavy equipment to move containers to storage, treatment, and/or loading/unloading of trailers.
  • Complete paperwork legibly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Perform related work and additional duties as requested or assigned by supervisor/manager.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • One or more years related experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations.
  • Demonstrates proficiency to operate a computer with Windows-based programs (i.e., Excel and Word).
  • Demonstrates the ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift, and possesses a safe driving record.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Medium to heavy working conditions.
  • Works with various materials with varying safety requirements.
  • Ability to climb stairs & ladders.
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime hours as needed according to business conditions.
  • May work in noisy, dusty, or otherwise hazardous atmospheres.
  • Both inside and outside work requirements with exposure to sun, rain, wind, snow, and varying temperatures.
  • Required to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces.
  • Frequent push / pull / lift more than 55 lbs required.
  • Must be able to travel. Travel varies in frequency and duration.
