Job Summary

Crown Technical Systems is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Estimating Coordinator to provide administrative support to the estimating department during the bid-out process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bid Document Management: Appropriately file and maintain all electronic and paper copies of bid documents, including receiving, distributing, and updating as necessary, all drawings, specifications, and any pertinent information for bids in a timely manner.
  • Storage and Destruction of Bid Documents: Follow established procedures for proper storage and destruction of bid documents.
  • Bid Log Management: Organize and maintain the company's bid log and track the status of bids.
  • Estimating Department Meetings: Attend daily and weekly estimating department meetings, take meeting notes, and update the bid log accordingly.
  • Customer Bill of Materials Review: Review customer bill of materials for relay panels transferred to the company's Excel template, ensuring it matches the customer's original bill of materials.
  • Vendor Quote Verification: Verify vendor quotes for parts listed on panel project bill of materials, ensuring pricing, item descriptions, and quantity match vendor quotes, BOM, and customer requirements.
  • RFI Submission and Follow-up: Submit RFIs for part issues as needed and follow up with customers to ensure requested information is received in a timely manner.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

  • Project Management: Ability to work on multiple projects while meeting required deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in an administrative role.
Physical Requirements
  • Work Environment: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Lifting and Mobility: Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and traverse the production floor as needed.
  • Work Schedule: Must be able to work full-time in an office environment.
