Overview

TriCities Hospital is seeking a skilled Emergency Room Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse in our freestanding emergency room, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, changing dressings, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Assist physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Monitor and record patient condition, utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Instruct and educate patients and families on health-related topics.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in Emergency Services is preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
