Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Freestanding Emergency Room RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment. Your duties will include:

  • Prioritizing patient care based on acuity level and available resources
  • Carrying out physician orders and assisting with examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, and monitoring vital signs
  • Providing education and support to patients and families
Requirements
  • One year of experience in Emergency services
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 60 days of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 60 days of employment start date
