The Youth & Family Services (YFS) is seeking a dedicated Program Assistant to support the HBHS Department. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our programs.
Position Details:
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Supervisor: Home-Based Head Start Director
- Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly
Essential Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is mandatory
- Some post-secondary education is advantageous
- Excellent teamwork and networking abilities
- Proficient in computer usage
- Professional demeanor and conduct
- Ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to confidentiality
- Compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards
- Valid driver's license and current vehicle liability insurance are required
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain comprehensive records for children, families, and programs
- Oversee purchase orders and the receipt of goods
- Assist in fulfilling necessary match requirements
- Manage inventory of program supplies and office resources
- Provide technical support and training
- Develop training materials and update necessary forms
- Monitor petty cash and coordinate vehicle maintenance appointments
- Complete nutrition documentation and assist at the front desk
Additional Responsibilities:
Act in alignment with the values, goals, and policies of YFS.
Work effectively with a diverse range of individuals while upholding confidentiality.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization.
Work Environment:
Responsibilities will be carried out in an office setting and may include remote work.
Engage in social activities and field trips with children as part of the role.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
