Job Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Minnesota Sex Offender Program in St. Peter, MN. As a LPN, you will provide direct nursing care to civilly committed sex offenders, administering medications, treatments, and other therapies as directed. You will also perform related duties such as admissions and discharge, data collection, and assisting clients in developing optimal independence in living and coping skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to clients, including administering medications and treatments as directed.
  • Perform related duties such as admissions and discharge, data collection, and assisting clients in developing optimal independence in living and coping skills.
  • Lend assistance to the Registered Nurse in gathering data and planning and implementing the nursing care plan and multi-disciplinary treatment programs of the clients.
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary team, modeling respect, professional ethics, and a spirit of collaboration while demonstrating strong communication skills through writing, non-verbal behaviors, and speaking.
  • Maintain knowledge of organizational policies and procedures and take appropriate measures to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment in which clients receive quality professional services.
  • Serve as a positive role model to clients during the course of providing health services, demonstrating effective professional and personal behavior.
Requirements
  • Current licensure in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
