Position Overview:

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Production Assembler (Second Shift). This role offers a competitive hourly rate along with a shift differential. The core working hours are structured from Monday to Friday in the evening.


Key Responsibilities:

The Production Assembler is tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Wiring, assembling, fitting, and mounting subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment.
  • Preparing for tests and conducting final inspections through assembly or wiring.
  • Utilizing established power-checking procedures and equipment to ensure the electrical and mechanical integrity of assembled units.
  • Completing all assignments while adhering to quantity and quality standards.
  • Following oral and written instructions, drawings, or other manufacturing documentation.
  • Handling materials according to established protocols.
  • Performing routine maintenance on plant equipment as necessary.
  • Maintaining quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products for compliance with specifications.
  • Managing job progress and communicating any issues or shortages.
  • Coordinating the shipment of finished products and loading materials into carriers.

Additionally, the assembler is expected to maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and engaging in continuous improvement practices.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Active Duty Military Service members are exempt from geographical limitations.

Preferred:

  • At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, production, construction, industrial, or military settings, or a degree in a technical field.
  • Forklift driver certification.
  • Familiarity with supply chain systems.
  • Experience in the manufacturing and assembly of electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment maintenance and installation.

Position Criteria:

The ideal candidate will have experience using various tools, including manual, electric, and pneumatic tools, and will be able to work effectively in a team environment. Adherence to health and safety procedures is essential, as is participation in safety initiatives and maintaining equipment in good working order.
