Job Overview:

Position Summary:

The Visual Communication Specialist role at FastTek Global is essential for crafting our product labels and executing proofreading and verification tasks related to labeling. This position is responsible for ensuring that all input documents align with the output documents. You will collaborate with team members to address any discrepancies identified during the process. Your role will also involve managing data and document entries, configurations, and processing within our electronic document management system. Additionally, you will support project leaders with various tasks that contribute to the development, design, and implementation of product labeling. The ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with minimal supervision is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conceptualize and execute designs, layouts, and illustrations, and publish artwork.

- Ensure that all labeling is created or revised according to specified requirements.

- Verify that all typesetting of packaging components (including text, graphics, chemical structures, barcodes, etc.) adheres to established guidelines and standards.

- Collaborate with the team to finalize artwork and facilitate submissions for agency approval.

- Maintain clear traceability throughout multiple revisions.

- Demonstrate proficient knowledge of Adobe software, including Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.

- Proofread product labeling to ensure compliance with all inputs (e.g., redlines) using both manual techniques and electronic comparator software (e.g., Global Vision).

- Confirm that labeling artwork meets all specification requirements (e.g., dimensions, tolerances, barcode type, placement, readability, etc.).

- Execute product data and document management entry, configuration, and processing in the electronic document management system.

- Adhere to labeling project timelines and commitments.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

- Experience in design control and document proofreading in accordance with ISO standards is preferred.

- Proficiency in using software such as MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is required.

- Familiarity with electronic comparator software and manual proofreading techniques is essential.

- Attention to detail and meticulousness are crucial traits.

- Experience in quality control is considered an asset.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.

Education and Experience:

- N/A: Intern or Co-op

- An Advanced Diploma or Degree in Art & Design, Graphic Design, ICT, IT, or a related field is required.

- Alternatively, 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role is acceptable.

- Completion of an artwork design certification program at a technical school or satisfactory completion of a proficiency examination is preferred.
