We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Solutions Engineer who possesses an entrepreneurial mindset, robust technical expertise, and strong business insight. The Senior Solutions Engineer will play a crucial role within the Aeris connectivity solutions engineering team, delivering comprehensive product knowledge and industry insights to customers and sales teams during engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the inclusion and promotion of functional and system requirements for automotive telematics and telemetry solutions through in-person meetings, workshops, and virtual conferences with Automotive OEMs.
  • Develop program and solution documentation that outlines the vision, requirements, architecture, and design of complex, large-scale systems integral to the automotive OEM's initiatives.
  • Establish and implement processes to ensure that development aligns with functional and business objectives.
  • Communicate OEM expectations, challenges, and requirements to internal Aeris teams, including product management, technical account management, engineering, and operations.
  • Provide technical and engineering support to Aeris sales initiatives targeting automotive OEMs, including responding to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Engage in regular technical status meetings, participate in governance discussions, and relay status updates and identified risks to the management team.
  • This position may require travel.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • 5 years of experience in technical sales and supporting high-level consultative technical solutions within the automotive sector.
  • 5 years of experience in gathering customer automotive engineering and technical requirements for internal software development teams.
  • 5 years of experience in software development methodologies, including Agile and SDLC, utilizing tools such as Atlassian's Confluence and Jira.
  • 3 years of experience using graphical tools like Visio, Gliffy, or SysML to illustrate business processes and system architecture.
  • 3 years of experience in technical account management within a professional services environment.
  • 2 years of programming experience in C++, Java, or Python.
