Position Overview: Maintenance Operations Manager at Asgard Sand

Asgard Sand is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization specializing in sand processing. We are seeking a dedicated individual to take on a leadership role within our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to management and the technical expertise necessary to support our multi-site operations, which run continuously. Currently, we operate two mines, with plans for further expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance strategy across our existing mines and prepare for the launch of new operations.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor maintenance staff to ensure high performance.
  • Design and implement preventive maintenance schedules tailored for operational efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain an effective parts inventory system.
  • Exhibit promptness in directing maintenance and repair activities.
  • Participate in mine planning and conduct thorough equipment evaluations.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in managing team dynamics, including conducting interviews, assigning responsibilities, evaluating performance, providing guidance, and enforcing disciplinary measures.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with sand processing equipment, including washing, drying, conveyors, and heavy machinery.
  • A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience within the frac sand mining or aggregate sector.
  • Understanding of MSHA regulations.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel; experience with HeavyJob is a plus.
