We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our Materials Management team in Chantilly, VA. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the material acquisition plans for the Aragorn program within the Leidos National Security Sector.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements.
- Develop and maintain reports to monitor material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
- Coordinate forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority with commodity/category team leadership.
- Provide expert advice to the program on optimal routes for materials management and sourcing.
- Place orders through purchasing cards within a specific spend threshold/limit.
- Analyze material requirements for leveraging opportunities, supplier recommendations, and acquisition planning.
- Engage with the supply chain to determine optimal acquisition strategies.
- Manage production and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with internal and client project team members.
- TS/SCI FSP clearance.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Intermediate Excel experience (Pivot Tables, Charts, v-Lookups, Bar Charts).
- Buying experience.
- Supply Chain Management experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements for price and source justification.
- Experience with PowerBI, CostPoint, or similar systems.
