Job Title: Civil Engineer, Design

System One is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer, Design to join our team for a long-term contract opportunity.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of civil engineering work for major or moderately scoped projects. This role involves conventional civil engineering practices, but may include complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitable materials, and difficult coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of civil engineering work for major or moderately scoped projects
  • Perform conventional civil engineering tasks, addressing complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitable materials, and difficult coordination
  • Apply broad knowledge of specialty area precedents and related practices
  • Independently evaluate, select, adapt, and modify standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
  • Develop new approaches to encountered problems
  • Ensure competence as a fully trained engineer through sufficient professional experience
  • Provide procurement and field engineering support, including walk-downs, modifications, maintenance, and testing
Ideal Background:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field from an accredited curriculum. Related continuing education and a Professional Engineer (PE) license are desirable. Membership in professional and technical societies is also desirable.
