Key Responsibilities
  • Production Oversight: Directly supervise production employees and ensure they have the necessary resources and support to meet production goals.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the Production Supervisor and other stakeholders to ensure production priorities are met and any issues are addressed promptly.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor production performance and take corrective action to ensure production goals are met.
  • Policy Enforcement: Explain company policies to workers and enforce policies and safety regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Material Management: Utilize a forklift to ensure production employees have the necessary materials for production jobs.
  • Troubleshooting: Assist production employees in troubleshooting IT and machine-related problems.
  • Quality Control: Perform first and last piece inspections for production employees when necessary.
  • Tooling Management: Pull and set up tooling from the tool crib for production jobs when necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma.
  • Experience: 5 or more years of machining experience, 3 or more years of part inspection experience, and 2 or more years of lead person or supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Forklift experience, ERP system experience, and CNC turning centers and machining centers operation.
