We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Engineer to join our Transportation Practice in Orlando, FL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and checking the work of other staff, providing technical guidance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality roadway design solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and check the work of other staff to ensure technical accuracy and quality.
  • Provide technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff, including reviewing their work for technical accuracy.
  • Lead roadway design tasks on conventional and design-build projects, and serve as a Deputy Project Manager on small to large scoped multi-disciplined projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of seven years relevant experience in highway engineering, including experience with FDOT design and municipal/local government design.
  • Florida PE licensure or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
  • Proven experience in production software and construction document production.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with and build relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with FDOT design, including major reconstruction on limited access facilities, rural/urban arterials, and bicycle/pedestrian facilities.
  • Municipal/local government design experience within the State of Florida.
  • FDOT Temporary Traffic Control Certified.
