Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Commercial Drywall Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our construction projects, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs associated with drywall installations for commercial buildings.
Responsibilities:
* Estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for commercial drywall projects
* Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids based on project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents
* Analyze project requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality standards
* Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services
* Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of estimates and bids
* Identify and evaluate potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects, and develop strategies to mitigate them
* Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, contracts, and other relevant documents
* Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to continuously improve estimating processes and methodologies
Requirements:
* 3-5 years of experience in commercial drywall estimation
* Proficiency in software such as OST, QuickBid, Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar tools
* Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes
* Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
