We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team at Northern Virginia Investments. As a Painter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks such as assembling scaffolding, surface preparation, sanding down old paint, filling in drywall holes, mixing paint colors, and painting homes and businesses.

Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings
  • Secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound
  • Smooth out the excess compound and allow it to dry
  • Sand rough spots after the compound dries
  • Apply primer and paint to walls, ceilings, and trim
  • Repair cracks and holes in walls and prepare surfaces for painting
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
Qualifications:
  • Candidates should have strong time management, communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Candidates must be comfortable standing for long periods of time, and have physical strength and dexterity
  • Knowledge of basic painting materials and tools is preferred, but we will provide training
  • We prefer candidates with 2 years work experience and a completed apprenticeship, but not required
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Proven experience as a Drywall Installer and Painter
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
  • Strong knowledge of drywall techniques and painting methods
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
  • Good physical condition and stamina
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Compensation:

$40,000 - $50,000 yearly
