About the Role

First Student is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining our buses and vans, ensuring they are in top condition for our students and passengers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
  • Diagnose and repair issues with our vehicles
  • Assist with mobile emergency services
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a CDL (training provided)
  • Mechnic's tool set
  • ASE testing and certification a plus
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate of $30-$35 (based on experience and qualifications)
  • $5,000 sign-on bonus (conditions apply)
  • ASE incentive of $0.25/hour for each relevant ASE obtained
  • Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm full-time shift
