Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Runner to join our team at Canyons Steakhouse. As a Food Runner, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our members by accurately and efficiently delivering food to their tables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional demeanor throughout your shift, addressing members by their last name and appropriate title or honorific.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and set up required sanitation stations.
  • Maintain a clean work station according to all applicable health standards and ensure all required items are stocked for the shift.
  • Check all items for accuracy against tickets, with special attention to modifications, levels of doneness, dietary restrictions, or allergies.
  • Ensure all sides and condiments are accurate and correct utensils are delivered with food.
  • Deliver food as quickly and accurately as possible and communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
  • Prepare and deliver to-go orders and double-check that members have all items at their table.
  • Assist with bussing and resetting where possible and maintain an elegant level of service regardless of business volume.
Requirements
  • Minimum six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination and experience.
  • Previous runner or expo experience in a fine dining environment is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and self-motivation are essential.
Physical Demands

Frequently stands, walks, tastes, smells, talks, listens, uses hands, and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, or crouches. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Available to work flexible hours.

Environment/Noise

Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, near fumes or airborne particles, with toxic or caustic chemicals, and in extreme heat or cold. Noise level is moderate.

  • Cellphones may not be used in certain work areas or specific periods, and you may be required to store your phone if needed by management.
Certificates/Licenses
  • Food Safety and Applicable Sanitation Training.
  • RBS or equivalent Alcohol Awareness Training.
  • Valid Driver's License.
