Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Control Chemist will be responsible for performing analytical tests using both instrumentation and wet benchtop methods on raw material, in process, and finished good samples, ensuring compliance to specifications and standards. This role will also involve audits of finished good production on the packaging floor, maintaining equipment and chemical inventory, and issuing holds and dispositions for material found to be out of specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical tests using instrumentation and wet benchtop methods

- Maintain equipment and chemical inventory
- Issue holds and dispositions for material found to be out of specification
Requirements:
- 4-year degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
- 2 semesters of college-level General Chemistry with corresponding lab work and 2 semesters of college-level Organic Chemistry with corresponding lab work
- Background knowledge of Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO, FSSC), preferred
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work rotating shifts and be available to work weekends and holidays
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles
