The ideal candidate will have a technical background in test and measurement instrumentation and will play a crucial role in supporting the sales process of our portable coating thickness gauges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly sell our handheld coating gauges to customers in Fischer Technology's Northeastern sales territory.
  • Assist our national sales team and distribution partners to promote and grow the handheld gauge product lines.
  • Present sales quotations, proposals, and product demonstrations to clients.
  • Maintain and update customer records in the CRM system, including tracking sales activities and managing orders.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop new brochures and marketing materials.
  • Coordinate sales campaigns and promotions, tracking performance metrics to optimize future initiatives.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support regarding product specifications and applications.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience with test and measurement instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of coatings, electroplating, and anodizing a plus.
  • Experience in B2B selling in a technical or industrial environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials, Quality, Metrology, or Mechanical engineering preferred. High levels of relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics).
  • Able to travel up to 40% within the Northeast sales territory, including overnights. Periodic travel within the US and Canada is also required.
  • Candidates must possess the legal right to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
